As MIS Manager, I was responsible for MIS in three branches - Solon, Akron,
and Canton. In this position I organized all computer functions, setup a Help Desk,
organized the programming department, and worked with department heads to allow the
computer to maximize employee productivity and increase customer service, while lowering
inventory levels. I implemented both EDI and Direct Order Entry for customers and
vendors. By identifying and automating as many functions as possible, I was able to
reduce labor expenses, while increasing system reliability and availability. The
effectiveness of cost estimating, and project scheduling, as well as project management,
were improved using timely information.
After Company A. purchased Company BC, I organized and implemented a computer conversion
to standardize 13 Ohio branches on one system. I organized the
planning/schedulinghired the training crew, re-trained over 150 employees, implemented the
conversion, and setup an on-going Help Desk for the Ohio Region.
