Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles Rivalry
The Florida-Florida State rivalry has evolved into one of the best in the country simply because the schools are so evenly matched.
Since Steve Spurrier became Florida's coach in 1990, the Gators have no victories in Tallahassee and FSU has just one in Gainesville, that coming during its 1993 national championship season.
In other words, the home team usually wins, which points to the competitiveness of the rivalry. That is not so much the case in some of the other big games around the country today.
